The annual memorial day of Vidwat Shiromani Kulachandra Gautam was celebrated with a number of important events as follows:

  1. The Education Minister, Hon Giriraj Mani Pokhrel inaugurated Kulchandra Gautam Smriti Sadan built by Kulchandra Gautam Sanstha at Kirtipur campus of Tribhuvana University, Kathmandu.
  2. The Centre for Ancient Sanskrit Literature was also established at the same time. The distinguished scholar Professor Dr Madhav Raj Gautam, formerly the Vice Chancellor of the Nepal Sanskrit University, was duly appointed as the executive Director of this centre.
  3. A life sized black granite statue of Vidwatshiromani was unveiled by Dr Dharma Kanta Baskota during this occasion.
  4. Professor Dinesh Raj Panta was felicitated for his contribution to research on history and several  works on national development . He was also awarded the Honorary Membership pf this Sanstha.
  5. A beautiful and poignant dance and musical recital of several sections from a chapter of Raghavalankar, an excuisite poetry composed by the late Vidwatshiromani,  was performed by Dr Professor Ramesh Pokhrel and his wife Mrs Sujata Baral.
